Welcome to Balbex Drum Solo Competition 2011 homepage

First off, this competition is supposed to be entertaining and fun, but of course we also look forward to see some great drum solos!

This is the second time for this competition, which currently is open only for Finnish residents.

The jury members are some of the top drummers in Finland and Sweden.

The prizes are great: A handmade snare drum by Kumu, a Bosphorus-cymbal, signature- drumsticks by Balbex and a Yamaha-pedal (see jury and prizes from page Tuomarit ja palkinnot).

This is how you participate in the competition:

Upload your video to Youtube with the tag-word www.rumpusoolokilpailu.fi
The maximum length of the video is 3 minutes. It should be somehow related to a drum solo, drums or drumming. Be creative and use your imagination! You also need to complete a participation form.

All participating videos will be linked to the video page (Kilpailuvideot).

Your entry to the competition needs to be received/posted by November 11th, 2011.

By November 21st, a pre-jury (Esiraati) will choose 12 finalists out of all participants.

By December 8th, the jury will give their points to the finalists and the winners of the competition will be decided.

The winners will be published on that very same day.
Remember, you as a visitor also have the chance to use the "like/dislike button" for each video.

The most "liked" video will win a Yamaha-bass drum pedal!

Hopefully this will bring some new experiences and happy moments to the participants and visitors!
